AD/HD is a neurological disorder affecting millions of individuals. Untreated AD/HD can severely limit  a person's success socially, academically & professionally. However, there are support/advocacy groups that offer help, education & lobbying efforts for people with AD/HD & their families. Two fantastic organizations are CHADD (Children and Adults with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder), and another that specifically addresses the gender needs of women and girls-The National Center for Gender Issues and AD/HD.
