The California State PTA originated in 1893 when a Los Angeles teacher organized the first Kindergarten child study circle in Southern California. Since then the Southern California PTA has grown to over 1 million members. The California State PTA works diligently to bring into close relation the and school, with parents and teachers working as one team to enhance the education of California's youth.
National PTA is the largest volunteer child advocacy organization in the United States. A not-for-profit association of parents, educators, students, and other citizens active in their schools and communities. PTA is a leader in reminding our nation of its obligations to children.
The California League of Middle Schools is a non profit membership association dedicated to improving the professional knowledge of middle level educators so that early adolescents may experience academic success and personal well-being. An inclusive organization, CLMS members are administration, teachers, parents, professors, policymakers, and others interested in the achievement of middle level students. |
